Christians Spewing Hatred for Muslims Sounds a Lot Like Their Views of Jews During WWII

Though I may receive hate mail and at the least, refuting opinions that will be heated, I’m going to put this out there anyway in case no one has considered such regarding the following subject.

I am in disbelief at the hatred that is being spewed against an entire religious people as if they are all terrorists. Much of it by staunch Christians who think they have the answer to stopping violence… as if violence can be stopped by hateful words.

Do you realize that in the Bible we are told we kill one another with words, and it is taught by the sages that by even speaking about someone in a way that causes humiliation, or a blushing of the cheeks, we are causing blood to come to the surface, and that it causes a death of sorts of the human spirit. In the 1930s and 40s, many people my age who had Christian grandparents, may remember that many in that generation thought ill of Jewish people at that time. They viewed them as Jesus killers, though the one whom we believe in as messiah was Jewish himself. They were misinformed, misguided and latched onto views that their circles of influence spewed. Many didn’t want the US to take in Jewish refugees during the holocaust, even though there were horrific things happening to these people. Now, today, we know how ridiculous those views were, we know the horrors that were endured and most of us can’t fathom the thought that we would’ve rejected them from coming here to seek safety.

Today, there are untold horrors happening to the people of Syria and once again, the churches sing and many of its inhabitants yell that we should shut our doors to Syrian refugees who are Muslim. These are humans who believe differently than you. Human beings, created with the breath of God just as you and I. Without the human conscience, the heart and spirit of a man can be programmed to hate others. Is it much different though when religious people of a different belief system generalize an entire population and decide to hate them, publicly announcing that hatred?

Life is a journey. People grow and learn and are exposed to different ideas. Many are born into whatever religion they practice. They know nothing different. Christians are not to judge others outside of the church. Be kind. Show others a different way. Be overcomers, overcome the things in your own life and be free so you can be a light and show others real freedom. I’m working on this myself. This is the spirit. Not spewing hateful words towards people you don’t even know.

I happen to have friends who are Muslim. They are really good, genuinely beautiful people who are human beings. They too are on a journey. Several years ago, my family started identifying with practices most people think of as Jewish customs. That does not mean we don’t believe in Jesus anymore. It means that we learned some things in our journey that caused us to adapt our beliefs to our understanding. So a seemingly Jewish Christian family and a Muslim family are friends. We have even talked religion at times. But most of all, we are kind to one another, we laugh together, we buy services and goods from one another. Because we are humans. Because the message of my God is to love others, not to hate them.

God gave us a conscience and a spirit for a reason, so we would feel. So we could connect. So we could help others and not turn our backs. That is a gift that so many people don’t understand. So you paid for the guy’s coffee behind you at Starbucks this morning, that’s a great act of kindness…but how about we knock that up a notch, because you never know who’s watching, what they’re learning and what kind of example you can be to others. Could it be possible to bring peace to the world just by loving our neighbors as we do ourselves? Not just our Christian neighbors, but also our Jewish and Muslim neighbors? Our atheist neighbors, our dirty neighbors, our poor neighbors, our neighbors who are drunks, addicts and who probably just need someone to love them?

There’s a reason that that’s the greatest commandment next to loving God. He did not specify what type of neighbors he was referring to, I submit it was because He didn’t want us to either.

If you were traveling in a foreign country and all of the sudden there was a faction that took over and was killing Christians, would you want the neighboring Muslim country to leave you for dead, or open its arms and give you shelter…simply because they believed in human rights? How would it feel if they wouldn’t let you in bc of your beliefs when you meant no harm to them, and you had to watch your children be slaughtered, wives raped, and husbands shot right in front of you?

Treat others the way you want to be treated. What if that is the test? Is it possible that there are extremists that could come in that way if we allowed Syrian refugees? Sure, we need to be cautious, but they come in through the airports as travelers as well. Should we shut down all flights in and out of the country?

Here’s another thought on generalization. Is it possible that there are those who claim to be Christian who do bad, even extreme things, such as molest children? Yes. We know that to be true. Should the world view all of Christianity then as child molesters? Of course not. There are sick and twisted people, there are extremists, there is darkness in the world. Much of it is caused by ignorance and fleshly desire. Let us not be ignorant, but rather a light that flows so much that the darkness has nowhere to hide.

Love others as yourself. I don’t know whether it’s safe to let refugees in, I’m not knowledgeable enough in defense to make such a statement, but I do see similarities between the ignorance that caused people to reject Jewish people during WW2 and the ignorance that is taking place today. Just think about all human life being created by God and then think to yourself, should I hate an entire people just because they believe differently than I do, just because there are nut job extremists who claim to be of that religion…even when God created these people just as He did you and me?

Maybe the test is whether we can learn to love others even in our differences and in turn, become so connected as ONE people, that love kills out religious factions. The more love that spreads, the harder it is for people to be convinced to join these factions. And perhaps, they may actually be curious why it is that you are different than the others who are persecuting them which in turn opens doors for you to minister to them about why you believe the way you do, and how the message of love makes a difference…

Just some thoughts.

I also think that bashing our president on the choices he makes is antibiblical. Instead of bashing our leaders, look up what the Bible tells us to do for them instead. It isn’t saying hateful things about those in power, for all power is given by God. I’ve always considered myself a conservative, but for goodness sakes, the ignorance of many who claim this stance makes me ashamed to be associated with such. I watched the G20 Summit today and I actually have a great deal of newfound respect for our president. He spoke some very wise words that resonated with how I feel, I’m just saying, maybe you should watch it as well. He needs our prayers as does France, and every other country witnessing these horrific acts of violence. Perhaps we should try standing with one another rather than arguing about frivolous nonsense.

Will the REAL Calendar Please Stand Up?

This past year, we ended up celebrating three Passovers because of different calendars being brought up…and idk about you guys, but observing Unleavened Bread is hard to do for one week, much less three… Anyway, it has bothered me all year long. So, my question to Father was, ‘How do we know for sure which is the correct way to keep the calendar? Surely You foresaw this chaos and gave us a way to be at peace about it, for You’re not a God of confusion.” Because quite honestly guys, most of the calendars presented by different groups of thought, make sense in some scriptural way…but goodness, listening to their arguments could drive one mad.Anyway, this is how we feel He answered, and we aren’t ‘zealous’ towards one way or the other, nor are we puffed up about what we feel like He has revealed to us recently, we are just trying to be obedient like everyone else and allow the Ruach to guide us…and at this tender moment, it is in the direction of unity. So, I’m not going to give you a lot of calendar and arithmetic, just patterns and themes, and you tell me what you think.

Okay, Jacob blesses Judah in Gen 49 and tells him “The scepter will not depart from JUDAH, nor the RULER’S staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.”

In Nahum 1:15, we see that JUDAH is told to keep the Feasts- “Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news (the gospel), Who proclaims peace! Celebrate your feasts, O JUDAH; Pay your vows. For never again will the WICKED ONE pass through you; He is CUT OFF completely.” But wait… if the Feasts are for everyone, why is only Judah specifically told to keep them in Nahum?

You see, we have sat back for the past couple of years and watched dissension (one of the fruits of the old nature in Gal 5) happen in this movement, with people making themselves clean on the outside, then arguing with each other over the ‘right’ way to do things. Yet, everywhere you turn throughout the Bible, it speaks of being in unity, and Psalm 133:1 even says “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for BROTHERS to dwell together in UNITY!” So, what is the opposite of brothers dwelling in unity? Proverbs 6:19 tells us that of the seven things that Yah hates, the most wicked thing, the one that is an abomination, even more so than shedding innocent blood, is that of “one who sows DISCORD among BROTHERS”. Now, is this talking about the brethren in our fellowships? Absolutely, but what other brothers could He be talking about, and why is “the wicked one cut off” as Nahum says when Judah keeps the Feasts?

Well, Isaiah 14:12-14 says of the wicked one, “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been CUT down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! “But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the STARS of God, And I will sit on the mount of ASSEMBLY In the recesses of the NORTH. ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'”

So, to me, it seems like there is a pattern of the WICKED ONE puffing himself up in the mount of the ASSEMBLY, which is the word MO’ED here!!! So, the wicked one tries to exalt himself above the stars of God by sitting in the midst of the Moedim!!! And, when are we specifically commanded to call an ASSEMBLY anyway? During the Feasts, the Mo’edim! Now, it would make sense that the wicked one would invent things like Christmas and Easter and cause people to think they are worshiping God by observing these alternate seasons…but those aren’t the Moedim!!! And Daniel says of the wicked one, that he would seek to change times and seasons…so what about the times? Well, does this sound familiar-‘Do we observe by the TIME the New Moon is spotted in Jerusalem, or where we live?’ How about, ‘The TIME of the New Moon is at conjunction, not at the sight of the crescent, that’s from Babylonian TIMES.’ Right…you get the point.

So, how do we know which is right, and how not to allow pride, which is of the wicked one, to not come in and cause us to separate?

I’m glad you asked, because there is a pattern we can look at from the beginning of time, and this is very important because in Isaiah alone, we’re told at least seven times that God tells us the ending from the beginning. Ready? On the FOURTH day of creation, He puts the sun and the moon and the stars in the sky to be for signs and for seasons (the Mo’edim), causing the greater and lesser lights to RULE over the day and the night. Then, we see that JUDAH, the FOURTH born son, was given the RULER’S staff, and then told to keep the Feasts in Nahum–so that the wicked one would be cut off. We also see that the FOURTH Feast of Shavuot is all about the two houses coming back together in unity, representing the giving of the Torah to Moses, as well as the giving of the Spirit after Yeshua came, allowing us to walk in spirit and in truth, right?

Come on, this is a picture right out of creation! It is a picture of God creating Adam, then pulling Eve from Adam and making them two, but then telling them to come together as ONE flesh. Israel started as one nation, was split into two kingdoms, and at the end of time, at the restoration of all things, they are to be joined back together as one, echad, in unity! Ezekiel 37:16-17

But what happens? Well, here comes Judah’s younger brother, Joseph, whom you guys know became the NORTHERN house of Israel, or the Northern Kingdom. And we just read where Isaiah says that the wicked one would “sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the NORTH.” So, among which of the two BROTHERS is there confusion over the times and seasons which the sun, moon and stars point? The NORTHERN brother… because our Southern brother Judah, has never been confused, they’ve always kept the same days as one another.… even KNOWING that they may be off due to the fixed calculation. The wicked one has sat himself right up in the middle of the “recesses of the NORTH” making a mockery of those of us who walk in the flesh, who have forgotten the weightier matters of the Torah!

So, here comes young Israel, thinking that because he has had the Torah for like two minutes, that he can kick his older brother Judah, who by the way, never lost the Feasts as we did, out of the driver’s seat because we’ve done a little research and think we understand everything better. Yet, Judah has kept his charge for all these thousands of years- they have been persecuted, killed, kicked out of countries, all because of keeping their Shabbats and Feast Days, fulfilling their vows as instructed in Nahum…unlike faithless Israel.

So why does Nahum 1:15 say the wicked one will be cut off after telling Judah to celebrate the Feasts and keep their vows?

Think about it, we see Paul talking in Romans 11:14 about provoking his fellow Jews to jealousy, but read the remainder of the chapter, he also tells us not to become puffed up and self righteous, thinking we know more because we have the gospel, for it is so that Israel and Judah can once again become grafted into one olive tree…but how does that happen if we are keeping the Feasts at different times than Judah because we are so puffed up with all of our knowledge and calendar methods? How do we provoke them to jealousy so that they can be regrafted into the same tree that we have been grafted into, since they are the root in the first place? I mean, it’s almost as if a serpent comes in as it did to Eve, and whispers something in someone’s ear about how their current body isn’t being as like God as they may think; so someone should take a bite of this other tree so their eyes can be opened to the real knowledge of the right calendar, so they will really be like unto God. (Gen 3) Wow…truly nothing is new under the sun! All that will be, is that which has already been.

Could it be that though Judah has precalculated the calendar, that they have recorded the sun and the moon and the stars for thousands of years, as well as the cycles of the barley being aviv, that they could be correct, since they have kept the Feasts all this time, fulfilling their vows through death and persecution because Abba charged them to do so? I mean, that would’ve been for a long time, because they were obviously keeping it correctly in Yeshua’s day, just two thousand years ago, because there were thousands of people from all over the world in Jerusalem, gathering for Passover when Yeshua was crucified…and that was AFTER the Babylonian exile!!!!! And, the Jews were definitely calculating the Feasts at that time, because Northern Israel wasn’t even allowed in Jerusalem in Yeshua’s day…remember Yeshua’s conversation with the woman at the well? What about years after his death when Paul is encouraging everyone at Corinth to keep the Feast of Passover with sincerity and truth, and he himself is determined to get to Jerusalem to celebrate Shavuot in the book of Acts? And who were of the Council in Jerusalem that made decisions and decided between affairs? That’s right, our brother Judah…even after Yeshua’s resurrection and ascension, the apostles still went to the council in Jerusalem, who were still all of Judah. You see, even if they weren’t calculating them perfectly, Yeshua even complied. Could it have been that it was off every year, but it lined up on that one because it was necessary? What about when he and his family traveled there together for the Feast when he was but twelve years old? Could it be that when it is necessary, that the calculation of the times would again line up exactly when they are supposed to do so? Is our God sovereign, or is He not?

So, if the most wicked thing one can do is to split up the brothers, or sow discord among the brethren…and the most good and pleasant thing is when brothers dwell together in unity…what cuts the wicked one off completely? Israel arguing over the calendar, or dwelling in unity with EACH OTHER, and provoking their brother to notice their sincerity and join back together with them, becoming ONE?

I’ll end with these questions:

Who does Israel have the knowledge of that Judah needs and can learn about from us? And what has Judah kept all these years so that now, in the last days, we can look to our older brother and return to our vows as well? Is it a coincidence you think, that the two brothers, the two kingdoms, who are prophesied to come back into the land weeping with one another in the last days, each have something the other brother needs in order to make them complete, to become as one? They need Yeshua to learn the other side of the letter of the law, and we need to learn the other side of the Spirit of the law so that we can have balance, so we can both be a light to the nations, worshiping Elohim in spirit and in truth…remember the two witnesses in Revelation?

I honestly don’t know for sure, but I’ve heard it said that the signs in the heavens will soon show which calendar is correct, and that there will be no doubt about what calendar we should be following. Until then, like I said, we aren’t zealous or puffed up about any which way, we are just having faith that He will guide us by His Ruach… but it is pretty peculiar that next year in 2014-2015, the blood moon tetrads happen according to Judah’s calendar for Passover and Sukkot in both years.

Before I close, allow me to share a quick, but powerful testimony about how Abba confirmed this to us last year, before we even knew we would run into these calendar issues within our own assembly. In 2012, we celebrated Sukkot with a few friends in Waco. They lived in a nice neighborhood by the lake, and we simply built a sukkah, and camped in our tents in their backyard which had a chain link fence. On the first night of Sukkot, an older woman who lived behind these friends’ house, walked up to the chain link fence and asked us if we were observing Sukkot. We of course said yes, and she asked if we were Jewish. We said, well…we are believers in Messiah Yeshua and are trying to get back to doing Adonai’s Feasts and not man’s, but that we had a lot to learn from our older brother Judah. Guess what happened next? This lady says, “Really? I’m Jewish, and I don’t believe in Yeshua, but I really don’t know much about him either, besides a little bout with Catholicism as a child. May I join you guys tonight as you welcome in the Shabbat?” “YES” we all replied excitedly!

Not only did this Jewish woman recognize that we were doing something familiar to her, seeing our tents and sukkah in the backyard during the week of Sukkot according to her religious calendar, but she admittedly had not been a practicing Jew in many years, having grown far away from her God, but she also came and listened to our entire Messianic service on the 1st night as we proclaimed Yeshua who came and tabernacled among us…then asked us if she could join us again on Simchat Torah for our 8th day services!!!! So, I ask, would that have happened if we would’ve been off by a week or even a month, like the equinox folks were in 2013? Or would she have just thought we were camping out with our kids in the backyard? I don’t know…but I think it’s pretty nifty that Abba allowed that to happen for us to look back on and consider…because it seems to me, our observing Sukkot, this holiday she remembered as a youth, was provoking her to the good kind of jealousy, causing her to desire to also tabernacle among us, and hear about our Messiah, our King, who came to bring His kingdom back together as ONE! He is coming back for ONE Bride, His body, and it has got to be whole, not broken in half…or in a million pieces for that matter! It’s all about unity, it has always been about unity, even from the beginning of time…it’s about the two coming together as one!

So, what do you guys think? Do you think He could be testing us, to see if we will love Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and in doing so, love our neighbor as we do ourselves…without negating the responsibility to also keep His Torah? Remember what Yeshua said in Matt 23:23, “Woe to you, SCRIBES and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the law: JUSTICE and MERCY and FAITHFULNESS; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.”

Is Yeshua only talking to first century Pharisees here? No, because he goes on to tell all of us who have washed the outside of the cup to quit swatting at gnats, but then swallowing camels. And did you notice the word SCRIBES? Whoa…it’s almost like Yeshua is saying, ‘Woe to you writers on Facebook and blogs, with your revelations of the proper and righteous way to keep the calendar, or how to wear your tzit tziot, whether to cover or uncover your head and judging people according to these things instead of showing your light, your good works, your keeping of the Torah through love, justice and mercy!’

Could the reapers be searching and judging for fruit right now, separating the wheat from the tares? Looking for those who are REALLY walking in the steps of our Messiah and willing to die to themselves and deny the old nature of being puffed up with knowledge, always thinking we know best? And speaking of fruit, did you know that the paragraph right before Paul lists the fruits of the Spirit in Galations 5, that he says this of the Circumcision Party-

“I wish the people who are bothering you would go the whole way and castrate themselves! For brothers, you were called to be free. Only do not let that freedom become an excuse for allowing your OLD NATURE to have its way. Instead serve one another in love. For the whole of the Torah is summed up in this one sentence: “Love your neighbor as yourself”; but if you go on snapping at each other and tearing each other to pieces, watch out, or you will be destroyed by each other!”

We all know that Paul isn’t telling them that they don’t have to keep Torah, but he is telling them to quit worrying about what others say is right, to walk in freedom and to love one another. Did you know that the Circumcision Party were BELIEVERS in Messiah, yet they were puffed up in their knowledge of Torah, causing problems and dissension by telling the newly redeemed people coming in that they needed to do this and that in order to keep the Torah correctly…while they themselves were disregarding the weightier matters of Torah? HOW ARE WE ANY DIFFERENT THAN THE CIRCUMCISION PARTY WHEN WE ARE TELLING NEW BELIEVERS COMING INTO TORAH THAT THE CALENDAR IS WRONG, OR THEIR TZIT TZIOT ARE TIED WRONG, OR THAT THEY SHOULD OR SHOULDN’T DO THIS OR THAT, THIS WAY OR THAT WAY?

I’m just saying…THIS IS A JOURNEY, let us quit allowing the wicked one to sit in the midst of the assembly, let us walk in spirit and in truth, and become ONE BODY OF MESSIAH! Not once in the Torah, the Prophets or the Writings, does Yahweh say He is angry at His people for observing one of His Feasts a few hours off, or even a couple of days…rather, He says many times that they are observing His Shabbats and New Moons, but disregarding the widows and the orphans, you know…what Yahweh considers justice. Nothing is new under the sun, Israel has acted this way before, doing the letter of the law, but neglecting to act justly and love one another…and Israel is acting that way again.

I’ll leave you with the words of Eddie Chumney, “Many who are still blinded to Torah are good people who love others, have mercy, and are taking care of the widows and the orphans, yet many who say they walk in Torah, neglect to do that very thing, while arguing among each other about what day the New Moon appears. So, which group is keeping Torah better in Yahweh’s eyes right now?”

Pretty heavy, huh?

If I have done nothing else, I hope I have provoked you to not tear each other to pieces, to love one another, and to pray about doing what is right for the sake of the body, both Israel and Judah…Let us truly become ONE NEW MAN!

Shalom shalom.

***In addition to studying the scriptures, praying in humility, sharing with and being submissive to my husband’s authority, I also choose to listen to Torah teachers who submit to one another for accountability. This is just wisdom, and includes our friend and mentor, Pastor Ed Harris of Beit Yashua DFW, Dr. Hollisa Alewine of The Creation Gospel, Brad Scott of Wildbranch Ministry, Eddie Chumney of Hebraic Heritage Ministries Int’l, Daniel Botkin of Gates of Eden, as well as Pastor Jim Staley of Passion for Truth Ministries. There are others, but these are those whom I have listened to long enough that I trust and know have a heart for Yahweh. They have all had a part in maturing us, so if something sounds familiar in what I’ve written, then Baruch HaShem, He is raising up true shepherds who keep the flock together, instead of driving them apart, just as He said He would do! I encourage each of you to find true shepherds as well, and not to pick from every tree who posts a video or submits a teaching…judge them by their fruits before adopting a pet doctrine or belief, especially if it leads you somewhere alone! Remember, let us not forsake the assembling together of ourselves, and even more so as we see the day approaching. Find your part, and BE IT!***

Homeschooling Torah

HTAffiliatebanner-392x72bSamples

Homeschooling Torah is the answer to SO many heartfelt cries to the Father, petitioning Him for guidance and direction on what curriculum to use with our three beautiful and creative children whom we desire to teach from a Hebraic perspective. Believers who hold fast the testimony of Yeshua and who also keep the Father’s commandments, no longer have to settle for curricula that describes itself as being Biblically based, yet still teaches on the holidays that our families no longer celebrate… Instead, we now have an amazing curriculum that includes EVERY subject, for EVERY age child, as well as teaches the Biblical holy days, written by a Messianic Torah Observant family that we have come to love, trust, and value greatly. This curriculum has truly transformed our family’s life in so many ways…and the time and support that Anne, the author of Homeschooling Torah, provides is worth more than gold. And it’s all for one low monthly fee of like $39 a month… which includes ALL of your children, no matter how many!

Seriously, when I say support, I mean if you’re like me, I had a lot of questions in the beginning, and still do sometimes. Silly questions. And for goodness sakes, I don’t want to ask them on a general homeschooling site and get a zillion answers… when I’m already feeling overwhelmed. Someone surely knows what I’m saying, lol. Anyway, whether it is a question about setting up notebooks, implementing a schedule, teaching several different aged children at one time or a child with special needs, teaching algebra, or going over a phonics lesson with your wiggly Kindergartner while juggling Calculus with a high school student preparing for college… Anne will graciously answer your question promptly, and even make a VIDEO showing how she does it in her own home, with her own children during their school day!! Out of all of the expensive and inexpensive curricula I have erroneously purchased over the past couple of years, including SOS, Heart of Dakota, ACE Paces, Abeka, etc…I have gained more knowledge on what and HOW to actually teach my children since signing up to use Homeschooling Torah than using all of those combined over the past two years…and better yet, how to do so Biblically, for real.

Want to know another AMAZING reason I love It only costs $39 a MONTH!!!!! It doesn’t matter how many children you have, every bit of their curriculum costs you only $39 a month, (besides a very inexpensive History Book for 4th grade and up) and is rolled out to your email on a weekly basis. It is so well organized, and I’m telling you, it is such a BLESSING! Click on Homeschooling Torah and check it out for yourself, you don’t have to make a decision today, and there are plenty of samples that you can download before making any commitment to enroll. You can cancel at any time, or you can sign up for a year and get two months free. Did I mention that everything is done for you? Schedules, assignments, worksheets, menus…everything. Check it out, you’ll be so glad that you did!

OH, and one more thing! Anne also homeschools six of her seven children still, plus writes the curriculum, and has no time for marketing, so members can sign up to be an affiliate and she pays YOU a 50% commission for everyone who signs up, every month, for as long as they are still members!! If you only have two friends who sign up, your commission will pay for your curriculum…thus, it is FREE! I’ve already had five or six friends sign up, so that income is not only paying for my curriculum, but it is also generating income for me each month…PLUS, it helps Anne market this amazing product that is truly changing lives! Malachi 2:15 says, Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? But Godly offspring.” What an INCREDIBLE help to raising our children up in the way that they should go so that when they are older, they’ll not depart from it!! Click on the picture below, or any of the highlighted Homeschooling Torah texts above, and let’s raise a generation who loves YHWH!!! When you click on the picture or on the texts, it automatically gives my account a credit, and that’s how easy it is to be an affiliate! Pretty nifty, eh? I think so, thank You Abba for moving a homeschooling publisher’s heart to be towards Yours, completely changing their lives in the process…and answering our prayers at the same time! Baruch Atah, YHWH Eloheinu, for Yours is the kingdom and the glory and the honor forever and ever, amein!

Blemishes, Spots and Wrinkles

Since we are to be a church without spot, blemish or wrinkle…shouldn’t we know exactly what the spots, blemishes and wrinkles are that we are not to have? So much of the church throws out the Old Testament, and especially Leviticus, but it’s because they do not understand spiritual things. If we do not use the Old Testament to define the vocabulary in the New Testament, then we can simply define scripture however we want to, which will be different depending on where we live, what language we speak, and what modern dictionaries define the words as being in our present society…it is why we have over 38,000 denominations who all think that they are right. But our Father, who is Spirit, gave us physical things in order for us to understand spiritual things, and He also told us that it would require us searching out matters, asking for His wisdom, and rightly dividing the word of truth.

*A cool side note about how important the spiritual principles are that are found in Leviticus before we get into the definitions of what each mean for us today- Much of Scripture is written chiastically, and if you don’t understand what that means, check out my post on Chiastic Structure. So, check this out: Sages of old, long before the invention of mathematical computers used a method called Equal Letter Sequencing to discover hidden things in the Torah. In Genesis, every fifth letter spells out Torah in Hebrew, going forward. In Exodus, again, every five letters spells out Torah pointing forwards…skip over Leviticus, and in Numbers, every fifth letter spells out Torah backwards, as does the book of Deuteronomy, as if to point us backwards. So, Genesis and Exodus point us forward, and Numbers and Deuteronomy point us backward…and Leviticus is right in the middle, and the Hebrew word for Heart is Lev, or Lamed Vet. So, when we do away with Leviticus, we are doing away with the very heart of our Creator! This is why in ancient times, as well as even today, the children brought up in the knowledge of Torah were started out by beginning with the heart, with Leviticus, then expounding on it by learning the principles as they learned more of the Word…pretty cool, eh? Now…let’s see what the words are in Leviticus that we need to learn in order to understand the principles.

Who shouldn’t have these blemishes, spots and wrinkles?

Eph 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church (assembly, called out ones), not having SPOT, or WRINKLE, or any such thing; but that it should be holy (set apart) and without BLEMISH.

Ex 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a KINGDOM OF PRIESTS, and an HOLY NATION. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

1Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal PRIESTHOOD, an HOLY NATION, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:”

Revelation 5:10 “You have made them to be a KINGDOM AND PRIESTS to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.”

What are the BLEMISHES?

Lev 21:16-23 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. For whatsoever man he be that hath a BLEMISH, he shall not approach: a BLIND man, or a LAME, or he that hath a FLAT NOSE, or any thing SUPERFLUOUS, Or a man that is BROKENFOOTED, or BROKENHANDED, Or CROOKED BACKED, or a DWARF, or that hath a BLEMISH IN THE EYE, or be SCURVY, or SCABBED, or hath his STONES BROKEN; No man that hath a BLEMISH of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. He shall eat the bread of his God.

The Twelve Blemishes explained throughout Scripture

#1 BLIND

2 Cor 3:13-14 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.” (Meaning, we now CAN understand it if we have eyes to see and ears to hear because there is no longer a veil that obscures its meaning.)

Blindness of the heart and mind to the Gentiles:

Eph 4:17-18 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

2 Cor 4:3-4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Mt 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Blindness in the church:

Re 3:17,18 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayestbe rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

1 John 2:9-11 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

2 Pe 1:5-9 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

#2 LAME (Unequal in our ways)

Prov 26:7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

Ezek 18:23-25 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

Pr 20:10 Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.

#3 FLAT NOSE (No spiritual Discernment, living after the flesh, set apart for

destruction.)

2763 charam specifically to devote to religious uses, set apart (especially for destruction); to be blunt as to the nose: KJV – make accursed, (utterly) destroy, have a flat nose,

Song 7:4 Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bath-rabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.

Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Heb 4:12-13 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Job 27:1-3 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said, As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul; All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

2 Peter 2:9,10,12 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes..

#4 ANYTHING SUPERFLUOUS: (Adding self to what God desires)

8311 SUPERFLUOUS sara` (saw-rah’); be deformed by excess of members: KJV stretch out self

Isa 28:20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

1 Chron 20:5-6 And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver’s beam. And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant.

Deut 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Prov 30:5-6 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Rev 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

#5 BROKEN FOOT: (Your walk and ability to stand)

Isa 65:1-2 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

Jer 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Ps 119:103-105 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Jer 13:10,16 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing. Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

Prov 25:19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

Prov 4:26,27 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Ps 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Ps 20:7-8 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

2 Cor 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

#6 BROKEN HAND: ( Your works, ability to handle the things of God)

2 Cor 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Jer 2:8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

Eze 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed the difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Matt 7:21-22 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Lk 13:26,27 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

#7 CROOKED BACK: (Loaded with cares of this world)

Mark 4:18-19 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Matt 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Jer 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

# 8 DWARF: (Perfect in form & function but much below the standard )

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

1 Cor 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Eph 4:14-15 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

#9 BLEMISH IN EYE: (Distorted vision )

Matt 7:2-5 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Rom 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

Pr 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

Pr 7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Isa 11:2-3 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

#10 SCURVY: ( Lack of fruit in one’s diet, Improper diet)

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby

Heb 5:13-14 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Acts 20:27-28 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

#11 SCABBED: ( Skin diseases primarily affecting the scalp )

Ps 68:21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

Isa 3:15-17 What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the LORD GOD of hosts. Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: Therefore the LORD will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

Ezek 16:11,12 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck. And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.

Prov 1:8-9 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

Ezek 16:48-50 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

#12 STONES BROKEN: (Unable to reproduce)

Gal 4:18-19 But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you. My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

John 15:6-8 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

2Ti 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Now, let us see what are SPOTS in our Father’s eyes.

SPOTS

Woe unto them! For they have gone in the way of CAIN, and ran greedily after the error of BALAAM for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of KORAH. These are spots …. Jude 1:11,12

THE WAY OF CAIN:

Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. A fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Gen 4:8-10,12,13

1Jn 3:11,12For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

So, what was the WAY OF CAIN?

1. He was religious

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

2. He was envious

3. He was full of hatred, wrath, strife

4. He was a murderer

5. He was irreverent and a liar

6. He was a man of the flesh

Gal 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

THE ERROR OF BALAAM:

Loved the wages of unrighteousness, Self-willed, Disobedient

2Pe 2:13-15 Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Num 22:6 Therefore, I pray you, come now and curse this people for me. For they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall prevail so that we may strike them, and so that I may drive them out of the land. For I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.

Jas 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Evil counselor

Num 31:16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

Re 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

Joel 3:1,2 For, behold, in those days and in that time, when I will bring again the exiles of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will fight with them there for My people and for My inheritance Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided My land.

THE GAINSAYING OF KORAH:

1. Conspirator

2. Envious

3. Jealous

4. Makes false accusations

Num 16:1-3 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

Ex 6:18,20 And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel. And Amram took him Jochebed his father’s sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses:

Num 16:8-10 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi: Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them? And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?

Num 16:19-21 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.

Num 16:32-35 And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men who were for Korah, and all their goods. They and all that they had went down alive into Sheol, and the earth closed upon them. And they perished from among the congregation. And all Israel around them fled at their cry. For they said, Lest the earth swallow us up. And there came out a fire from the LORD and burned up the two hundred and fifty men who offered incense.

HOW DO WE GET RID OF SPOTS AND BLEMISHES?

Jer 2:23 For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD.

OT:3799 MARKED katham (kaw-tham’); to carve or engrave, to inscribe indelibly:

Prov 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

2 Tim 2:24-26 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Lev 26:40-42 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

Jer 3:13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.

Isa 4:3-4 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Mal 3:2,3 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

Rev 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

WRINKLES

Job 16:8 And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, which is a witness against me: and my leanness rising up in me bears witness to my face.

WRINKLES: CREASE OR FOLD OF THE SKIN CAUSED FROM EITHER FOLDING OR SHRINKING.

The word is FAT, but there are several different Hebrew words that are translated as FAT-

1878 FAT- Dashen; a primitive root, specifically to anoint;

He that puts his trust in the LORD shall be made fat. Prov 28:25

The soul of the diligent shall be made fat. Prov 13:4

2459 FAT- Cheleb ; the richest or choice part:

Lev 3:16 All the fat is the LORD’s.

Gen 45:18 And ye shall eat the fat of the land.

Gen 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.

2954 FAT- Taphash; a primitive root; to be thick; figuratively, to be stupid: (thick headed)

Ps 119:70-72 Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in your law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn your statutes. The law of your mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

8080 FAT- Shaman ; a primitive root; to shine, oily or gross:

Deut 32:13-15 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, so that he might eat the increase of the fields. And He made him suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock, butter from cows, and milk from sheep, with fat (best) of lambs, and rams of the sons of Bashan, and goats, with the fat (best) of kidneys of wheat. And you drank the blood of the grape. But Jeshurun grew fat (oily, gross) and kicked. You grew fat (oily, gross), thick, and satisfied. Then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

Rev 3:17 Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Deut 32:18-20 You forgot the Rock who brought you forth, and ceased to care for God who formed you. And the LORD saw, and despised them because of the provoking of His sons and of His daughters. And He said, I will hide My face from them; I will see what their end shall be. For they are a very perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness.

Lu 18:8 Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Ps 78:40-42 How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert! Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.

4924 FAT- Mashman from OT:8080; a rich dish, a fertile field, a robust man:

Is 17:4 And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

Is 17:10 Because thou hast forgotten the God of your salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of your strength,

Ps 106:10-12 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left. Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

Ps 106:13-15 They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel: But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

Amos 8:11-12 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the Word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

Ps 103:17-21 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

1Jo 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Dan 9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Jer 2:32 Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

Eze 16:11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

Wrinkles are a consequence of getting fat on all the blessings of the Lord and then forgetting and forsaking Him. Therefore He sends leanness to your soul.

THE PROGRESSION OF SIN

Ex 34:6,7 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin
